Pointed back rhinestones are the kind used mainly in jewellery settings. Pointback rhinestones are also called Chatons. The pointed back gives a more intense sparkle, greater than flatback rhinestones give, due to the extra facets reflecting off the foiled backing.
You can use these to repair watch-face frames, jewellery and sunglass embellishments. They can also be beaded around with fine seed beads and crystal bicones. Or, glue them into settings such as metal carriers, fimo or metal clay, or use them in mosaics and art projects. The possibilities are endless and the effects are very rewarding!
